How to improve staff retention and look good

Marketing Derby Bondholder Hays Recruitment delivered an insightful event this morning, hosted at the Jurys Inn Hotel by Marketing Derby.


Following an arrival breakfast, fellow Bondholders had the opportunity to hear from Emma Kwiatkowski, Regional Director of Hays, about the current employment market within the East Midlands, focussing on key trends and challenges that an improving economy brings.

Emma discussed the improving jobs market, the resulting availability of skilled and experienced candidates and the all important matter of employee wages and salaries. After Bondholders had the put their questions directly to Emma, we were presented with the opportunity to take away one of the latest Hays Salary Guides. The guide provides advice and information on salary and benefit levels across the office support, marketing, HR, construction and accountancy markets.

Involving your team - keeping your team

An interesting point Emma picked up on is the importance of staff retention. We think that one way of improving this is by involving your team and presenting a personable, friendly and professional image of your company by investing resources into corporate head shots. This can be a strong, visual indicator that you value your staff and can improve your clients' perception of you as an employer.
